ALC-9002: No longer there

The request referred to something that has gone since: a plan, a file, a session, a table or a result. Usually time passed, something else removed it, or Alcuin’s engine restarted and forgot it.

Messages you can act on:

  • That plan is no longer kept. Explain again.
  • That file is no longer available. Choose it again.
  • query.sql is not there any more.
  • Session 4821 has already ended., in the Activity view.
  • public.events has no columns or does not exist
  • There is no table or view named …, returned to an agent.
  • The provider has no such endpoint or model, followed by the provider’s words and Check Address and Model in Settings, under AI Assistant.
  • No connections in that … file. or No ~/.pgpass was found., when importing connections.

Messages that name an internal id, such as no open session 01J…, no open connection 01J…, no result 01J… or no profile 01J…, usually follow an engine restart.

  • Plans: Alcuin keeps the last 20 plans. An older one, or any plan after the engine restarts, is gone.
  • Files are reachable only through a choice you made in a file dialog. After a restart, or once the file is moved, renamed or deleted, that choice no longer points at it.
  • Sessions in the Activity view end on their own.
  • Tables can be dropped or renamed by someone else while you have them open.
  • The assistant’s provider answered 404: the Address or the Model in Settings, under AI Assistant, does not exist there.
  • Importing found a file with no connections in it, or no .pgpass entries.
  • Internal ids belong to the engine that made them. When the engine restarts, it starts with none.
  • Plan: choose Explain again.
  • File: open the file again with Open file…. If it moved, choose its new location.
  • Session: nothing; the session finished before Alcuin could act on it.
  • Table: choose Refresh at the top of the object tree, then open the table again.
  • Provider: check Address and Model in Settings, under AI Assistant, against the provider’s documentation, then choose Test connection.
  • Import: check you chose the right file.
  • Internal id: run the statement or open the view again. A query tab opens a new session on its next run. If the message keeps coming back, report it as described in ALC-9005.

The engine reports this as ENGINE_NOT_FOUND. Quote either name in an issue.
